Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire in Bergen County early Christmas morning.
The fire broke out shortly before 5 a.m. at a commercial building on the corner of Franklin Turnpike and Fox Lane in Mahwah.
Firefighters from around the area – including Oakland, Ramsey, Wyckoff, Waldwick and New York state – also responded.
At least seven aerial ladders were extended to try to extinguish the flames from above. Hazmat teams were also called in after a 1,000-gallon tank was compromised during the fire.
There was no word on what was inside that tank or whether anyone was injured.
Officials are looking into what may have sparked the fire.
