Memorial basketball games held in honor of slain Jersey City detective

Posted: Updated:

Memorial basketball games were held in North Arlington in honor of Detective Joseph Seals, who was killed in the Jersey City shootings.

The girls team played and then the boys took on Saddle Brook.

The school sold shirts and held raffles with the money going to Seals' wife.

Athletic Director Josh Aronowitz said they put on the event because it felt like the right thing to do.
