A $3,000 reward is being offered to find the person who tossed a puppy from a moving SUV in Calverton earlier this week.
As News 12 reported, Michael Koemm, of Coram, was heading to work as a veterinarian assistant and saw the 8-week-old pit bull mix get thrown from the vehicle on Route 25 Tuesday morning.
Koemm brought the puppy to the East End Veterinary Center in Riverhead where he works.
The puppy wasn't injured and Koemm is now adopting her.
Police say the first three letters on the SUV's license plate are TZR.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Suffolk SPCA at 631-372-7722.
