Posted: Updated:

Police say a student has been accused of peeping on students at Rowan University, and recording them while they undressed in their dorm rooms.

Mitchell Merkowsky, 20, of Evesham, was arrested last week.

According to police, Merkowsky was confronted in a Rowan Boulevard parking garage after officers received calls about a man looking into dorm rooms and apartments while students undressed.

Police say when Merkowsky was arrested, they seized his binoculars, as well as his cellphone, laptop and a USB flash drive which had videos of women undressing on them.

Merkowsky was charged with invasion of privacy and released on a summons pending a court date.

Anyone who believes they have information related to the case is asked to contact the Glassboro Police Department at 856-881-1501, ext. 88167.
