Bloomfield community donates 500 turkeys, food baskets during Turkey Drive

Posted: Updated:

Community leaders in Bloomfield worked Sunday to make sure everyone's stomachs and hearts are full this Thanksgiving with a food drive.

Mayor Michael Venezia and volunteers gave away 500 turkeys and food baskets during the fourth annual Turkey Drive.

Volunteers also gave away stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, mac & cheese and socks, because of the cold weather.

Any of the baskets or turkeys not given out at Bloomfield Town Hall will be given to the Department of Human Services and local food banks.
