Power temporarily restored Newark airport terminal

Posted: Updated:

Power has been temporarily restored after a brief outage disrupted some travel at Newark Liberty International Airport, according to tweets Friday morning from the airport.

The initial tweet, sent out at 8:43 a.m., said Terminal B is "currently experiencing a power disruption."

At 9:44 a.m., the airport tweeted power was temporarily restored, but to expect some delays.

Airport officials advise travelers to check with airlines for delays and allow extra time for travel.

The airport adds that some TSA checkpoints may experience extended passenger screenings due to the power disruption.
