Health department: Fox that attacked 5, bit 3, tested positive for rabies

The Glen Ridge Health Department has confirmed a red fox that attacked five people last week, three of whom were bitten, tested positive for rabies.
According to police, the people were bitten back on Nov. 15 around 9:15 a.m. on Woodland Avenue, near the train station.
All three bite victims were brought to hospitals for treatment.
Authorities say the animal was killed after it became aggressive toward police officers.
Anyone who came into contact with a red fox on Nov. 14 or 15 should get immediate medical treatment.
