The American Dream mega mall in East Rutherford is raising the cost of tickets to Nickelodeon Universe, but not as much as expected.
Visitors, until last week, paid preview ticket prices – and the cost of tickets were expected to go up as much as $30.
Instead, prices were raised up to $10. All access tickets are $59.99, and general access $44.99.
According to an
American Dream spokesperson, the new pricing structure will last until Dec. 30.
The waterpark will span more than eight acres, making it the largest indoor waterpark in the country.
It will offer a lazy river, the world's tallest indoor body slide with a 142-foot drop, and 31 luxury cabanas designed by New Jersey-native Jonathan Adler.
Surfers can take lessons at the
wave pool, which is the park's centerpiece.
The waterpark will also offer more than 40 water slides and 15 attractions themed after DreamWorks characters, such as Shrek, Madagascar, and Kung Fu Panda.
The
Big SNOW indoor ski slope will be the next to open on Dec. 5., followed by March 2020, where the shops, restaurants and additional entertainment venues will make their debut.
