Police in Glassboro say a man was killed after his motorized scooter collided with a car.
The incident happened Monday around 6:31 p.m. in the area of Fish Pond Road and Alfred Avenue.
According to police, Scott Stewart, 34, of Williamstown, suffered numerous significant injuries from the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the 17-year-old, of Glassboro, driving the car was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Preliminary investigation reveals the blue 2015 Nissan Versa attempted to make a left turn onto Alfred Avenue when the red 2007 motorized scooter contacted the front passenger side corner area after Stewart attempted to brake and place the scooter on the ground.
Police say Stewart was not wearing a helmet and did not have his headlight illuminated at the time of the crash.
