Posted: Updated:

Three people were struck by a vehicle while walking in the parking lot of a Walmart, according to the Garfield Police Department.

The incident happened outside the store on Passaic Street around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Police say that two adults and a 4-year-old child were hit. Authorities say the driver was making a left out of one of the aisles in the parking area and didn't notice the victims walking.

The victims had some bumps and bruises and were taken to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. They are all expected to be OK.

No charges were filed against the driver.
