NYPD: Jewelry, bags taken in burglary at American Dream CEO's Bronx home

Posted: Updated:

Authorities say at least one burglar entered the Bronx home of the CEO of the American Dream megamall and made off with jewelry and handbags.

The break-in happened Saturday shortly after 5 p.m. at the home of 46-year-old Don Ghermezian in the Bronx borough of New York City.

Police say the burglar entered by forcing their way in through a rear balcony door.

The suspect stole jewelry and approximately 30 handbags before fleeing, according to police.

No arrests have been made. The NYPD was asking anyone with information to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
