Posted: Updated:

The famed Bellevue Theatre in Montclair, which closed back in 2017, is reopening as The Bellevue, and won't offer the same old movie experience.

The movie theater will have dine-in theater options.

According to the theater's new website, its "focused on revitalizing the movie-going experience while honoring the theatre's 95-year legacy."

The theater opened back in 1922.

When it closed, nearly 6,000 people signed a petition to reopen it.

The reopening date hasn't been announced.
