Officials say a Belleville man was injured during a shooting in Paterson early Saturday morning.

Prosecutors say just after 1 a.m., Paterson police responded to Nagle Street on a report of shots fired.

At the scene, officers say they found a 31-year-old man suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.
