The American Dream mega mall in East Rutherford opens Friday, including the Nickelodeon Universe theme park. Here is a guide for everything you need to know:
Only the theme park and ice rink will be open Friday.
Hours:
Opening Weekend (October 25 – 27, 2019)
Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Regular Hours
Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Friday – Sunday 9 a.m. – 1 a.m.
Parking:
Parking is going to cost you, and the price depends on what else is going on that day in the complex.
Complimentary parking during the Special Preview (Oct 25-27, 2019), validation on Event Day parking with the purchase of a Nickelodeon Universe ticket.

During events at MetLife Stadium, event parking rates are in effect.
Validation available on Event Day parking with the purchase of a Nickelodeon Universe ticket.
Overnight parking is not permitted.
Nickelodeon Universe Special Preview - timed ticketing, limited availability.

Tickets for dates extending to Nov. 7 are currently on sale online.
When will everything else open?
Mall managers unveiled details for a string of opening celebrations, described as "chapters." The water park will open in November, followed by the indoor snow park in December. The rest of the mall will open next March, including the 350 stores and 100 dining options.
Chapter 2: November -- DreamWorks Waterpark.
Chapter 3: December -- Big SNOW
Chapter 4: March 2020 – Shops, dining options, and much more!
How to get there?
 
By train
Shoppers can take an NJ Transit train to Secaucus Junction, and then take the 356 shuttle bus to American Dream. The bus runs every 30 minutes.
By New York express bus
NJ Transit's 355 express bus runs between the Port Authority Bus Terminal and the American Dream.
Local buses
The 85 bus runs between Hoboken Terminal, through Jersey City Heights and Union City, before heading to American Dream. The 772 Hackensack-Rutherford and the 703 Haledon to East Rutherford via Paterson bus are also available.
