Attorney general: Woman found dead in Farmingdale home of man fatally shot by police

Posted: Updated:

A woman was found dead in the home where a man was fatally shot by police Friday.

The Attorney General's Shooting Response Task Force say 40-year-old Teresa Oshel was found dead in the bathroom of the home.

Authorities were called to the Farmingdale home to find 38-year-old Charles Tsakiris wielding a blade. They say he refused officers' calls to drop the object, prompting one officer to fatally shoot him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A third man, 36-year-old Jeffrey Tsakiris, was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries.

Authorities are investigating both incidents.
