Here are the latest business headlines from Cheddar on News 12:

Apple CEO Tim Cook met with the head of China's market regulator in Beijing after receiving backlash over the removal of an app from its store. The app, which allowed Hong Kong protesters to track police movement, was slammed by Chinese state media. Cook is defending the removal in the face of criticism that the company is bowing to China.

The NBA is also receiving backlash involving China after lawmakers accused the league of caving to the Chinese regime. Chinese companies and broadcasters suspended ties with the NBA after the Houston Rockets General Manager tweeted support for anti-government protests in Hong Kong. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver says financial losses from the NBA-China spat are "substantial."

And Disney is on a roll this year after its films accounted for roughly 40 percent of the entire domestic box office -- and it's likely to set a record. The so-called Mouse House still has "Frozen 2," "Star Wars" and "Maleficent" on deck for the holidays.
