Clinton Hill child development center raises money for Make-A-Wish

A Clinton Hill child development center is encouraging young minds to be compassionate by raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
At only 3 and 4 years old, the children at The Learning Experience are learning about giving back.

All throughout October, The Learning Experience is raising money for Make-A-Wish Foundation. The initiative, named after the center's mascot Bubbles, is called “Bubbles’ Road to Wishes.”

“Every year we have increased our goal to raise for Make-A-Wish Foundation in order to teach children about the importance of giving back, what that means and make it real life for them so they can participate,” says Cassandra Burkhardt, The Learning Experience regional manager.

The budding philanthropists are holding a bake sale next week among its fundraising activities. The youngsters decorated a sign in an effort to encourage their parents to take part.

The school picked the foundation since it helps children and even some of their clients.

“I believe it was a child of one of our franchise owners that was granted a ‘wish’ with some of the efforts from last year's fundraising,” says Burkhardt.

The students are hoping to grant wishes for hundreds of children with a companywide goal of $1 million.
