Ground-up commercial development Dock 72 opens at Brooklyn Navy Yards

The first ground-up commercial development in more than a decade is now open in Brooklyn.
Dock 72 has 16 floors and nearly 700,000 square-feet of unobstructed panoramic views of Brooklyn and Manhattan. The space is expected to bring top tier talent to the borough.
The new development has been about six years in the making and has attracted tech companies and other innovators with its unique office space.
Boston Properties, Rudin Development and WeWork are all co-developers of the building. They say it was built to optimize flexibility and collaboration between different companies and employees.

There's more than 35,000-square-feet of indoor amenities including a health and wellness center, organic food and beverage options, and a state of the art event facility.
There's also an open waterfront space, a basketball court, stadium seating and outdoor terraces.
WeWork is the anchor tenant of the space and the only tenant – taking up about a third of the building. The developers are in talks with several other potential tenants.
