Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport offered plenty of fall-themed activities for families over the long weekend.
The zoo hosted a “Fall into Fun” event that included three days of autumn festivities – face painting, karaoke and even hayride tours around the zoo.
Organizers say the best part is, even with students out of class Monday, they still had the opportunity to learn.
Educators at the event say teaching a whole new generation about the challenges endangered species face will help make sure they're here for generations to come.
The Beardsley Zoo's next "Fall into Fun" event is Veterans Day weekend – Nov. 9, 10 and 11.
