Police seek suspect who tackled, dragged woman into wooded area

Police in Lawrence Township are searching for a man they say physically assaulted a woman as she tried to walk into a home.

Police in Lawrence Township are searching for a man they say physically assaulted a woman as she tried to walk into a home.
The alleged assault happened Tuesday around 11:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Bakers Basin Road.
According to the woman, as she attempted to enter a home, she was tackled and dragged off the road into a wooded area in the vicinity of the Delaware & Raritan Canal.
The woman says she was able to fight off her attacker and call for help as the attacker physically assaulted and attempted to sexually assault her. 
The woman ran to a business, where employees called police.

The suspect is being described as a white male in his 30s, about six feet tall with a thin build.  He has brown eyes, a dark mustache and a full, close-cropped beard. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored, pullover hoodie and dark-colored sweatpants. 
Police have increased patrol in the area after the incident.
