The alleged assault happened Tuesday around 11:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Bakers Basin Road.

According to the woman, as she attempted to enter a home, she was tackled and dragged off the road into a wooded area in the vicinity of the Delaware & Raritan Canal.

The woman says she was able to fight off her attacker and call for help as the attacker physically assaulted and attempted to sexually assault her.

The woman ran to a business, where employees called police.
