Science and Tech come to Hoboken for annual innovation festival

Posted: Updated:

Entrepreneurs came to Hoboken Thursday for the annual Propelify Innovation Festival.

The festival draws corporations and investors to Hoboken to discuss innovations in technology for a variety of industries.

The festival featured talks about technology, exhibitors and business owners looking to take their businesses to the next level.

The festival also attempts to foster the innovation of young minds.

“Students should be involved in things like this, because we're the future business leaders,” says Jerick Navarro, a student at the Passaic County Technical Institute.

This includes inspiring more young women to enter the science fields.

“Learning not only what men can do, but what women can do,” says PCTI student Jocelyn Gonzalez.

This is the fourth year of Propelify in Hoboken. Organizers say that last year’s event drew participants from 43 states.
