Man accused of sexually assaulting child released before deportation proceedings

Posted: Updated:

ICE is looking for a man accused of sexually assaulting a child, and he remains at-large after he was released from the Cumberland County Jail before ICE was able to take him into custody, but local authorities say they were following a judge's order.

Police in Vineland arrested Luciano Trejo-Dominguez back on Aug. 12.

ICE put a detainer on Trejo-Dominguez until agents could pick him up, but he was released anyway.

During the next two days, the Pacific Enforcement Response Center, as well as the ICE office in Mount Laurel, both lodged detainers on Trejo-Dominguez with the Cumberland County Jail.

He was released Aug. 23, and remains at-large.

According to police, he was last seen in the Bridgeton area.

He faces charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, among other charges.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the national hotline of ICE at 1-866-DHS-2-ICE.
