A 13-year-old boy has died after he was struck and killed by a vehicle in Ocean County.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. Monday.

Jackson Township police say that the teen was riding a scooter on Farmingdale Road with two friends when, at some point, the teen made a turn into the path of a car “giving the driver very little time to react.”
