WATCH: Plane passenger wearing Jets jersey makes threats over bathroom line

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

A man could face charges for a rant on an airplane that had to do with a line at the bathroom, but some passengers say he went too far.

The passenger, who was wearing a New York Jets jersey, was on a flight from New York's Kennedy Airport to Los Angeles. The man was in line in coach, when the bathrooms in first class were open.

“We're trying to use the bathroom,” the man says. “They'd rather let the bathroom be empty up there and let eight people wait in line to use the bathroom while two bathrooms are empty in the front, and he's gonna come to me, tell me he going to call the police. Call the police. Call 'em. Call 'em. Call 'em. I'm not going to stop complaining while I'm waiting in line especially when there's two empty bathrooms in the front. I'm not going to stop complaining."

According to Alaska Airlines, the man made a verbal threat to harm the plane, and that's when the pilot decided to make an emergency landing in Kansas City.

"I paid my money,” the man says “I ain't here for free. I ain't on this flight for free. I made the same money everybody else got but you're going to tell me."

"Hi ladies and gentleman, this is your captain speaking. I understand there's a gentleman in the aisle making kind of a fuss. A bathroom is a bathroom. A bathroom is a bathroom. Following my crew members directions is a federal requirement. It is a Federal law violations."

The man was escorted off the plane to the sound of clapping and applause from passengers.

Hours later, the pilot took off for Los Angeles.

"He said he was going to kill the pilot,” says one passenger. “He was going to beat people up and he even started talking about this racial stuff which was nothing about being racial. I don't know if he was on something or what but he just went from like night and day."

The FBI will decide whether the man should face charges.
