Netflix explores paying bonuses for features that perform well on platform, win awards

Netflix is exploring paying bonuses for features that perform well on their platform or win awards. The streaming giant reportedly hopes to win over producers and directors that may be shopping their films around, including those entertaining a traditional theatrical release. The change could cost Netflix - the company has traditionally covered the cost of production and fixed premiums.

The head of the FAA says he won't authorize the return of the Boeing 737 Max until he has personally flown the plane, as in, physically piloted it himself, according to an interview with NBC News. FAA Chief Steve Dickson is expected to meet with Boeing executives. The 737 Max has been grounded worldwide since March.

Kids' meals at fast-food chains in Britain are getting greener. Burger King and McDonald’s will reduce the plastic toys that come with the meals. Burger King says it will remove plastic toys altogether. McDonald’s says it will let customers swap out the toy for a bag of fruit or a book. Burger King says the move will save 320 tons of plastic waste annually, and will urge customers to bring in old toys to be melted down and reused.
