Old Navy plans to open 800 new stores

Posted: Updated:

Old Navy plans to open new stores, saying it wants to reach 2,000 locations by opening stores, mostly in smaller, under-served markets.

The plans include to open about 800 new stories.

The company didn't specify a timeline.

The company, as of now, is owned by Gap, but there are talks of spinning Old Navy into a standalone company by 2020.

The company opened 145 stores between 2016 and 2018.

Old Navy has about 1,200 stores, in total.
