Police in Denville are warning residents about several rabid raccoons that were found in the area.

According to officials, the animals are usually aggressive and have trouble walking.

Township leaders are reminding people to stay away from raccoons, especially ones that may look sick or injured.

Residents are asked to report any sick or injured animals to the Denville Township Police Department at 973-627-4900 ext. 9.
