Authorities warn about dangers of jumping off bridges

Posted: Updated:

Authorities are warning people about the dangers of jumping off bridges following an incident where two people jumped off a causeway bridge last week

The Press of Atlantic City reports the incident happened at the 60-foot-high causeway Brigantine Bridge over Absecon Inlet.

Witnesses told firefighters the jumpers made their way to shore, apparently uninjured, and ran away.

Officials say jumping off bridges is not only illegal, but dangerous.
