Beloved movie theater, Cranford Theatre, is closing -- just two weeks after the Rialto Theater in Westfield closed unexpectedly.
Both theaters are owned by New Vision Management.
Cranford Mayor Patrick Giblin said township officials reached out to them after the theater in Westfield closed.
The mayor says they were told their theater wouldn't be affected.
It is unknown exactly why the theater is closing.
Mayor Giblin says the theater will be discussed at the township committee workshop meeting Monday.
