Newark officials: Water at apartment building within Wanaque line shows undetectable lead levels

Newark city officials say water tested at an apartment building within the Wanaque service line shows levels of lead that are undetectable.
The building is at 1180 Raymond Blvd. The city says the water does not have elevated levels and the corrosion control system is effective at preventing lead from entering the water in buildings with lead service lines.
A judge denied a lawsuit Friday that asked for free bottled water to be passed out to people living by the Wanaque service line.
