Authorities are trying to determine how a body and a motorcycle ended up on some railroad tracks at the Jersey Shore.
According to New Jersey Transit, staffers aboard a North Jersey Coast Line train made the discovery around 5:15 a.m. as the train approached the Manasquan station.
Officials say the train did not strike the victim, whose name has not been released.
The train had departed from Bay Head and was headed to New York's Penn Station. It wasn't known how many people were aboard the train.
The incident caused train service to be suspended between Bay Head and Long Branch.
AP wire services helped contribute to this report.
