Three fishermen from Staten Island reeled in a massive shark off the coast of Sandy Hook.
undefined
The shark, called a common thresher, came in at 510 pounds and 94 inches long.
The fishermen, who are members of the Staten Island Fishing Club, had to take turns reeling the shark in over a three-hour period.
undefined
The shark is not a state record catch though for threshers -- a 683-pound shark was caught 10 years ago.
