No charges filed in Lindenwold hot car death; father demands answers

The Camden County prosecutor says no charges have been filed in the hot car death of a 2-year-old, and the child’s father is demanding answers about what happened to his daughter.
Investigators say that the toddler may have been left in the minivan in the PATCO station in Lindenwold for eight hours. Nasir Lawrence says that his daughter’s aunt and uncle were taking care of her while he was in jail.
“What did you do for eight hours that you forgot a 2-year-old? Exactly what were you doing at the PATCO station?” Lawrence asked. “You killed my daughter. You took her from me.”
The child was found Friday afternoon. Emergency responders were not able to resuscitate her. High temperatures that afternoon reached the upper-80s.
Camden County prosecutors, Lindenwold police and Delaware River Port Authority officials said in a joint statement that no charges were immediately filed and the investigation continues. Anyone with information is urged to call investigators.
