Sleeping in – 5 New Jersey high schools to experiment with later start times

Posted: Updated:

Five yet-to-be determined high schools across New Jersey will be experimenting with later start times.

Gov. Phil Murphy signed a law Friday, requiring the schools to start after 8:30 a.m.

Advocates cited major health benefits for teens.

The five schools taking part in the experiment are not yet known, as the law requires the state to select at least one urban, suburban and rural high school from different regions.
