NJ Transit adapts to large crowds leaving Rolling Stones concert at MetLife

Mass transit successfully adjusted to the large crowed that filed out of MetLife Stadium following the Rolling Stones concert Thursday night, residents say.
Many residents say they were wondering if NJ Transit would be able to function without any delays despite the sizable amount of people leaving the area all at once.
NJ Transit used double-decker trains with eight cars as opposed to six, which helped to transport people home more easily. The trains also ran hourly from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and were scheduled to run every 10 minutes. Then, as crowds thinned, trains ran every 15 to 20 minutes.
Concerns about heavy delays came after the Wrestlemania show earlier this year, in which thousands of fans left MetLife Stadium and were stuck in the rain waiting for trains to take them home. Last year's Beyoncé and Jay-Z concert heavily impacted the following morning's commute for NJ Transit riders as well.
NJ Transit will have to adapt again for the second Rolling Stones concert at MetLife Stadium happening Monday night.
