A restaurant in Greenpoint is making a name for itself with its popular lobster rolls and a menu that is pescatarian friendly.
Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Co. has called Greenpoint home for the past five years, serving a pescatarian menu that includes fish tacos, oysters, fried crab and its signature lobster roll.
"Greenpoint Fish is 100% sustainable seafood. We have a market and the restaurant. We focus on trace-ability. Every piece of fish we have we know exactly what boat it was caught on the method that was used to catch the fish,” says executive chef Orion Russell.
The staff at Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Co. says one of the things that makes the restaurant stand out is its open kitchen so customers can see exactly how their food is being made.
"Quality oyster is to not be damaged in any way, stomach is not poked. Try to remove as much as the sea shell residue as possible because no one wants to eat an oyster full of shell,” says Greg Young, an oyster shucker.
Everything at the restaurant, including the lobster rolls, are made fresh to order so that you always get the best flavor possible.
"We don't freeze our fish, we don't microwave anything, we don't have a microwave. It's just really important that we keep it fresh and we keep transparency,” says Russell.
The quality of Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Co. keeps customers coming back.
