LAKEWOOD -

New Jersey health officials are warning the public of another possible case of measles exposure in Ocean County.

The New Jersey Department of Health says that a person with a confirmed case of the measles visited Congregation Belz in Lakewood on three separate occasions last week. Congregation Belz is located at 18 Prague Place.

They say anyone who visited the location on July 10, 11 or 12 from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. could have potentially been exposed to measles.

Officials say anyone who may be at risk of contracting the disease should contact their health provider immediately.

Symptoms of the measles include rash, high fever, cough, runny nose and red, watery eyes. Symptoms can show up as late as Aug. 2.

This is the 17th confirmed case of measles in the state this year.
