It was a milestone birthday for one Elizabeth resident who turned 100 years old.

The staff at Senior Spirit Medical Day Center held a celebration for Rebecca Gonzales.

Gonzales, as the guest of honor, danced and enjoyed cakes with her friends.

She says that although she ate some sweets on her birthday, she typically keeps to eating healthy.

She says that healthy living and a good family are the keys to living a long life.

Gonzales was born in Cuba in 1919.
