Officials: Man swept over Niagara Falls, falls 188 feet

A man who jumped into one of the waterfalls that makes up Niagara Falls survived the 18-plus story fall.
According to officials, the man climbed over a retaining wall and fell 188 feet into the lower Niagara River over the Horseshoe Falls.
When police got to him, they found the man sitting on some rocks near the water.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The pool in which he fell is typically 100-feet deep, but high water levels helped cushion his fall and helped him survive.
Canadian police are not releasing the man's name due to privacy laws.
