Body cam video shows woman stab 2 police officers

NEWARK -

Dramatic body cam video was released by Newark police showing a woman stabbing two officers.

It happened during the early morning hours of the Fourth of July.

Officers responded to the home on a call of an emotionally disturbed woman.

The woman's faced is blurred in the video and her name has not been released.

The video shows the 31-year-old threatening officers and attacking them with a kitchen knife. One officer was stabbed in the forearm and the other was stabbed in the leg.

Both officers were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK.

The woman was arrested and taken to the hospital for a crisis evaluation.
