A South Carolina man has been charged with assault in connection with an argument that turned violent on Freeport's Nautical Mile.

Police say Joseph Gambuzza kicked a 24-year-old man in the face and head several times Sunday night outside Tropix on the Mile.

The victim was hospitalized with multiple injuries.

Cellphone video of the altercation shows that the bouncers got involved; one of them appears to knock out someone.

At this point, that bouncer has not been arrested.

Police say their investigation is ongoing. They ask any witnesses to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
