Police: 10-year-old seriously injured in Secaucus car crash

SECAUCUS -

A 10-year-old child was seriously injured in a car crash in Secaucus Monday afternoon, according to police.

The crash happened along Meadowlands Parkway near Wood Avenue. The car crashed into the pole and brought down multiple poles and power lines, according to police. The crash caused a power outage and left parts of Meadowlands Parkway closed for a time.

Police say that the child was airlifted to Hackensack Hospital and is in serious, but stable condition.

The cause of the crash was unclear.
