New ordinance sets 3-strike policy for homeowners with renters

A new ordinance will start a three-strike policy for homeowners with renters who behave badly in Seaside Heights.
City officials say a property owner can expect notice in the mail, then a summons and finally a court date.
This is just one of the many guidelines the city has put in place to make the area more family friendly. Smoking is no longer allowed on the boardwalk.
Last year, the township tried to pass an ordinance saying only those 21 years old and over could to get a hotel room. That ordinance did not pass.
