Police: 2 women assaulted man, stole cash in Riverhead

RIVERHEAD -

Two Flanders women are accused of assaulting a man and stealing his cash in Riverhead.

Police say they responded to a robbery call at the Quick Stop Deli on West Main Street around 2:40 p.m. on Saturday.

They say a man there had suffered a cut to the face and also had his money stolen.

Tonya Minter and Tamekia Isaac were arrested a short time later and charged with assault, according to police.
