Madison Street Park in Hoboken reopens in time for summer

A Hudson County park reopened on Saturday just in time for summer following construction.
Madison Street Park in Hoboken was recently renovated to have two new sections of playground equipment for children and includes an upgraded sprinkler park, new swing sets, a climbing net and a pair of African xylophones.
Originally built in 1991, the playground was in need of improvements. Resident Jennifer Henriques says that the park is now much more appealing with its new bright colors.
Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla says he wanted to integrate different recreational elements into the park. He says the designers did an excellent job of creating a park that can benefit the whole community.
Project manager Phil Pirro says he's happy to finally open the park.
Madison Street Park is located on the corner of Third and Madison streets.
