Windy conditions and cold water temperatures made for a dangerous water rescue on the South Shore Sunday.
Members of the South Country Ambulance Special Operations Team rescued a parasailer, just west of Ho Hum Beach in Bellport
First responders say due to the high seas, they didn't see the man until they were about 40 feet away.
They were able to get a flotation device to him and pull him to safety.
The man was wearing a wetsuit and personal flotation device, and rescuers say that made all the difference.

Rescuers say the tide was so rough, one of their boats, which is made to navigate shallow water, was damaged and is out of service
