Residents discover new way to watch movies at city's smallest cinema

Residents are discovering a new way to view films at one of the city's smallest cinemas.
The Peephole Cinema is located on Wilson Avenue in Bushwick. Residents can simply walk up to a window and look through a hole to watch a miniature collection of silent, short films that run all the time.

The cinema is free of charge. Laurie O'Brien, an animator, says the goal of the cinema is to increase people's exposure to animations.

The Peephole Cinema, which has been operating for nearly a year, features a variety of 20-second films by curators from all over the U.S.

The cinema in Bushwick is O'Brien's first location on the East Coast. She has opened up another theater in California.
