THE BRONX -

Frank Baez graduated from New York University’s nursing school Wednesday after working there three years ago as a janitor.

Baez was just 15 years old when he came to the U.S. from the Dominican Republic in 2004.

At 17, he worked as a hospital janitor on weekends at N.Y.U. and this week he got his nursing degree there.

Baez says he plans on working at the hospital after taking his licensing board exams.

He is the first of his family to graduate college.
