Overturned tanker truck spills thousands of gallons of fuel on the Turnpike

An overturned tanker truck snarled traffic Thursday morning when it overturned and spilled thousands of gallons of fuel all over the New Jersey Turnpike.

The crash caused the closure of all southbound lanes in Edison for a time. Police say that a tractor-trailer and a van also hit the truck.

The driver was treated for minor injuries.

It was not clear what caused the crash.
