NEW YORK -

Here’s the latest business headlines from Cheddar.

Whole Foods is banning plastic straws. The grocery chain will drop them from its stores in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. starting in July. Whole Foods also says it has reduced the size of its plastic produce bags.

Dressbarn is going out of business. The women's retailer will shutter all of its 650 stores across the country. Its owner, Ascena Retail Group, says it will focus on its more profitable brands like Anne Taylor and Loft. The brand has been around for over five decades, but has been recently struggling to keep up with current retail trends. This is the latest in a wave of brick-and-mortar closures this year.

The “Game of Thrones” finale was the most-watched HBO show of all time. The final show of the eighth season brought in 13.6 million live viewers. When adding in the early counts of streaming and replays, the number climbs to 19.3 million. This does not come as a huge surprise, because throughout the final season, “Game of Thrones” episodes have continued to break viewership records. Five of the six top-watched episodes have aired this season.
